FRANCIS MONKMAN founder of the prog rock band CURVED AIR.
This solo album originally released in 2001, was considered a surprising release at the time given its very guitar oriented feel for a classically trained keyboardist. All compositions by MONKMAN except ‘At the Court of the King’ written by the legendary COUNTRY JOE McDONALD, and is actually taken from ‘Section 43’ from the all time classic album ‘Electric Music for the Mind and Body’. JOE himself actually appears on the track. Half of the tracks featured fall into the prog rock/art rock category, while the other half take the shape of blues rock numbers. Tracks: Poisonality, Train Dun Gone Crazy, Delta Bitstream Blues, Another Day, Heard In Dreams, 21-Bar Blues, “At the Court of the King”, The Four Guitarists of the Apocalypse, Harvest Time, Rinky-Dink Public School, Acid Casino, Found In Space, Dispossession Blues/ Small Planet Blues, Iftruth.
