Slapp Happy were a British/German Rock band featuring Anthony Moore, Peter Blegvad and Dagmar Krause. The band was formed in 1972 and moved to the UK in 1974 where they merged with the band Henry Cow although this merger didn't last long and the band subsequently split. There have been subsequent reunions alongside solo careers for the various members.

This recording was made in Japan in May 2000 at three concerts which took place in Tokyo, Sapporo and Kyoto. The material performed was drawn from four of the bands albums (Sort Of, Slapp Happy/Acnalbasac Noom, Desperate Straights and Ca Va)

The band chose to perform the concerts by playing all the instruments themselves without the aid of other auxiliary musicians. Tracks include King Of Straw, Riding Tigers, Michelangelo, Is It You, Casablanca Moon, Scattered For Life and Let's Travel Light.
