From minimalist composer, to PINK FLOYD lyricist, member of SLAPP HAPPY, with many interesting stops in between, ANTHONY MOORE has had quite a varied career.
This album was his first recording after SLAPP HAPPY, and is filled to the brim with sunny tunes, string arrangements applied with a light hand and MOORE’S rough around the edges vocals.
He is backed by an impressive array of musicians including ANDY SUMMERS on guitar (before he joined the POLICE), KEVIN AYERS, and from SLAPP HAPPY – PETER BLEGVAD.
His version of the old PERRY COMO standard ‘Catch A Falling Star’ is an unexpected highlight.
‘Out’ was originally released in 1976.
Stitch in Time, A Thousand Ships, The River, Please go, You Tickle, Lover of Mine, Johnny’s Dead, Dreams of His Laughter, Driving Blind, The Pilgrim, Catch a Falling Star, Wrong Again.
