MOTHER EARTH were a late 60's early 70's blues rock band fronted by TRACY NELSON.

They made a number of acclaimed albums, including this one for Mercury Records, while supporting the likes of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix at the Fillmore.  They were discovered and mentored by Sam Charters (producer of Country Joe And The Fish).  Shortly after the release of Poor Mans Paradise, Tracy Nelson was nominated for a Grammy for her duet with Willie Nelson for the song "After The Fire Has Gone".

Tracy went solo after the demise of Mother Earth.  She continues to tour and record to this day.
