The Nice were one of the most exciting bands to emerge from
the underground in the late 60’s with the explosive stage show
and debut album The Thoughts Of Emmerlist Davjack.
When keyboard wizard KEITH EMMERSON left to form the horro
r of ELP, founder members LEE JACKSON and BRIAN DAVISON
decided to carry on in the best tradition of The Nice and recruited
another keyboard master PATRICK MORAZ from MAINHORSE to
fill Emerson’s boots.
The debut album REFUGEE released in 1974 some 4 years after
the demise of The Nice is considered to be something of a prog
rock classic and received rave reviews.
Sadly it was to be there only studio album as once again they lost
their front man when MORAZ left to join YES.
LIVE IN CONCERT 1974 recorded at Newcastle City Hall ,feature
two classics from The Nice era “Diamond Hard Blue Apples Of
The Moon “ and “She Belongs To Me”
