Paul Kantner head pilot of JEFERSON AIRPLANE and STARSHIP continues to record and tour in the fifth decade since the Airplane first took off.
WOODEN SHIPS are one of his spin off projects, semi acoustic with Paul on guitar, singing, talking to the audience and throwing in the odd poem.
Steering the ship with him on piano is Tim Gorman who has played with amongst other Duane Eddy and The Who. He occasionally plays with Jefferson Starship
This 2 cd set was recorded live in 1992 and focus heavily on material from the BLOWS AGAINST THE EMPIRE period and includes semi acoustic versions of Crown Of Creation, Volunteers and Wooden Ships.
