JULIE TIPPETTS first came to prominence in the 1960’s performing with BRIAN AUGER as JULIE DRISCOLL with the hits of BOB DYLAN’S ‘Wheels on Fire’ and DONOVAN’S ‘Season of the Witch’.
Since the early seventies, JULIE has concentrated on experimental vocal music and married vocal musician KEITH TIPPETTS.
‘Shadow Puppeteer’ originally released in 1999, was conceived as a song cycle. A concept works in that there is a narrative that is revealed within the improvisations and compositions.
JULIE sings beautifully, her fierce pioneering vocal techniques all of them based on improvisations.
