however Nic played in a band called The Misunderstood

Graaf Generator. Nic joined Van Der Graaf Generator
in 1969 and recorded the album The Least We Can Do
Is Wave To Each Other and recorded part of the next
album H To He, Who Am The Only One before leaving.
He was however to return to the band later in the
seventies and played on two more albums from the
band, the studio album The Quiet Zone/The Pleasure
Dome and the live album Vital before the band split.
In between times and of course beyond his final stint
with Van Der Graaf Generator Nic Potter has had an
extensive solo career recording a number of solo
albums and for a short period in the early to mid
eighties was a member of Peter Hammill's band The
K Group.
