The Garden of Love

About this release

Out of stock

With MIKE OLDFIELD, ROBERT WYATT, and LOL COXHILL.

The Garden of Love a setting of WILLIAM BLAKE’S poem from songs of experience, a dark and insightful collection that BEDFORD liked very much.

He scored the piece in his own understandable space/ time notation, with KEVIN AYERS and THE WHOLE WORLD in mind.

The premiere of this piece took place in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and was performed by the whole world and members of the London Sinfonietta.

The piece is approximately 20 minutes long, the first 15 minutes consist of music alone during which the band members follow the parts written for them by BEDFORD. But also include their own solo and collective improvisations.

Tracks:

The Garden of Love.
