Canadian musician Les Emmerson is probably best known as
the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Five Man Electrical Band.
The Five Man Electrical Band were best known for their 1971
Emmerson-penned hit single, “Signs,” which Tesla covered in
1990 for the massively successful live album Five Man Acoustical
Jam which spawned the single Signs making it a hit once more
Les Emmerson also recorded as a solo artist, charting in
Canada with “Cry Your Eyes Out.” The Sound City Sessions
form just a small part of the actual sessions Les Emmerson
recorded for Sound City in the seventies and most if not all of
these sessions remained in the vaults until this releases which
was eventually released in 2004.
