The psychedelic folk band PEARLS BEFORE SWINE, was the brain child of singer/composer TOM RAPP.
Formed in 1965 their first album ‘One Nation Underground’ was released on the legendary New York label ESP.
In 1969 they signed to Reprise and released ‘These Things Too’. By this time the band were more of a front for RAPP with only WAYNE HARLEY remaining from the original line up.
‘The Use of Ashes’, the follow up album RAPP worked mostly with Nashville based musicians including a small orchestra. The songs on this album were written while RAPP and his wife lived in Holland.
