The late HUGH HOPPER was one of the founding fathers of what has become known as the Canterbury Sound, and was a long time member of THE SOFT MACHINE.
These are the last studio recordings he did before his sad demise.
The track labelled ‘Jam’ is actually 40 minutes worth of studio improvisation.
Performing along with HUGH, are JONNY SHOULTS on drums, MOTNEY SLIM on guitar, MICHAEL PIKE on space guitar, otherwise known as HONEY RIDE ME A GOAT.
HONEY RIDE ME A GOAT was formed in Kent in the early part of the 21st century with an aim of creating a strange new music. Despite being criminally unfashionable they have none the less continued to forge a respected cult following in the international underground scene.
