An unusual album featuring a collection of bizarre and odd instruments, and assorted household items synthesised to form music. Squeaky toys, flower pots, and even a vacuum cleaner are thrown into the mix, along with symbols, bottles and OLDFIELDS famous TUBULAR BELLS. The album features MIKE OLDFIELD on bass. These are all great musicians and their solo material is among the best that progressive rock has to offer. ‘Variations’ remains a true oddity and a must for all serious collectors of prog rock. Tracks: Variations on a Rhythm of Mike Oldfield, Superman, Day of the Percherons, Have Mercy on my Eyes.
